A new PlayStation 5 bundle with the Slim Disc model and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is now expected to run just $499. It will also coincide with the game’s launch on November 10th, 2023. Per new Call of Duty ads, the PlayStation 5 Slim Disc Edition – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III console bundle will be $499. I have a different sort of problem. I previously owned a disc copy of Modern Warfare 2019 (which Warzone was originally part of that package. Like all disc games, it wants the disk in the machine in order to be able to play (including for Warzone) I have since traded in my modern warfare disc, and as we all know, Warzone sometime later became a free to play standalone download. I bought the ps4 disc version with cross-gen bundle and am trying to upgrade to the free version for ps5. The ps4 version loads up all content just fine, but even after downloading all add-ons, the campaign and multi-player options aren’t there. That may be trickier for some gamers. Unfortunately, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 gamesharing doesn't seem to work on PS5 or Xbox. Users all across social media have complained that they can not
So basically the title says it all. Got a series X with the disc version of mw for the Xbox one. As far as I know this should work without problems but when I launch the game it asks me to buy modern warfare even when the disc is in. Would appreciate any help!
Regardless, the issue is exclusively affecting owners of the physical copy of Modern Warfare. It can appear when trying to run either Modern Warfare or Warzone, however, equally commonly. What makes matters worse is that the issue is highly persistent, meaning a simple retry won’t fix the issue.
Same thing happens when I try to just copy the disk to my PS4. The update goes to about halfway and then just stops and never finishes. I just gave up and downloaded Warzone itself and gave up ever trying to play multiplayer
